Car rental in Alicante

Straightforward car rental in Alicante

Book your car online and pick it up on Calle Virgen del Socorro, right in Alicante, minutes from the old town and Postiguet beach.

Choosing a car with Rentaone takes under three minutes: set your pick-up and drop-off dates, compare the vehicles available for those days and confirm from your phone or laptop. The price you see covers the base rate, taxes and the insurance cover you select, so you know the total before you confirm.

We are open every day from 08:00 to 20:00, weekends included, so you can fit pick-up and return around your flight or your working day. If anything comes up before, during or after the rental, our support team is reachable around the clock on +34 649993909.

Alicante puts the whole Costa Blanca within reach: Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, El Campello and the coves of Santa Pola are all under an hour away, with inland Guadalest and the Vinalopó wineries not much further. Having your own car means covering that ground at your own pace, without working around bus or commuter-train timetables.

Choosing a car

Which car to pick for your trip

Our fleet is built for getting around Alicante and the Costa Blanca. Every car is petrol, seats five and has air conditioning, and each one is serviced and cleaned before handover.

Citroën DS3

Manual · Petrol · 5 seats

The easiest choice for Alicante's old town and for parking on the narrow streets of El Barrio. Compact, nimble and cheap to run around town, it is the usual pick for a couple or for anyone staying mostly in the city and on the beach.

Volkswagen Polo Highline

Manual · Petrol · 5 seats

A well-balanced hatchback: small enough for the centre, settled enough for the A-7 motorway towards Benidorm or Murcia. With room for two large suitcases, it works for weekend trips and business travel alike.

Jeep Compass

Automatic · Petrol · 5 seats

The one for families and for mountain roads. The automatic gearbox earns its keep in the summer queues on the N-332, and the raised driving position and big boot help if you are heading up to Guadalest, Xorret de Catí or the harder-to-reach coves.

Rates start at €35 per day and include taxes plus the insurance cover you choose at booking. You can check live availability for your dates in the vehicle catalogue.

Costa Blanca by car

Day trips and routes from Alicante

Almost everything worth seeing in the province sits within an hour of our office. These are the drives people ask about most, with road distances from central Alicante.

  • El Campello

    13 km · 20 min

The shortest hop: a long sandy beach, a working fishing harbour and rice restaurants on the seafront. Take the coastal N-332, or the A-70 if you are in a hurry.

  • Santa Pola and Tabarca

    20 km · 25 min

Salt pans, dunes, and the harbour where the boat leaves for the island of Tabarca. A solid full-day plan if you pair the beach with the marine reserve.

  • Elche

    25 km · 30 min

The UNESCO-listed Palmeral and the Misteri d'Elx. Parking near the centre is straightforward outside rush hour.

  • Benidorm

    45 km · 45 min

Levante and Poniente beaches and the viewpoints on the Balcón del Mediterráneo. The A-7 skips the coastal villages and saves half an hour in summer.

  • Altea and Calpe

    55-70 km · 50-60 min

Altea's whitewashed old town and the Peñón de Ifach rock at Calpe - two stops that fit neatly into one run along the N-332.

  • Guadalest

    65 km · 1 h 15 min

A village perched above a reservoir in the inland Marina Baixa. Plenty of hairpins: this is the drive where an automatic gearbox pays off most.

  • Torrevieja

    50 km · 45 min

The pink and green lagoons of La Mata and Torrevieja, plus a long seafront promenade. Direct access on the AP-7 or the southern N-332.

  • Valencia

    180 km · 1 h 45 min

For anyone tempted to keep the car an extra day. Dual carriageway all the way on the A-7, toll-free if you stay off the AP-7.

Rental length

By the day, the week or the month

We rent from a single day up to three months at a stretch, on the same car and the same contract. The longer the period, the lower the daily rate.

1-3 days

Weekend

Collect on Friday morning and return Sunday or Monday within office hours. Enough for Benidorm, Altea and Guadalest without rushing. This is the minimum period - we do not do hourly rentals.

4-14 days

Holiday week

The most common booking among people flying into Alicante-Elche airport. A week is enough to combine the coast, the inland villages and a run to Valencia or Murcia, and the daily rate already drops below the weekend price.

15-93 days

Long stay

For people wintering on the Costa Blanca, for work relocations, or for anyone whose own car is in the workshop. Three months is the contract maximum; beyond that we simply renew it. Get in touch and we will quote a fixed price for the whole period.

In every case mileage, cover and extras are confirmed at booking, before you pay. The minimum driver age is 21 and the upper limit is 80.

Getting here

Finding our Alicante office

We hand over and take back cars at a single point: Calle Virgen del Socorro, between the port and Postiguet beach, below Santa Bárbara castle. Open Monday to Sunday, 08:00 to 20:00.

From Alicante-Elche airport (ALC)

About 11 km, 15 to 20 minutes by car via the A-70 and Avenida de Elche. On public transport, the C-6 bus links the terminal with central Alicante every 20 minutes, and it is a short taxi ride from the city-centre stop. If your flight lands outside our opening hours, tell us when you book and we will work something out.

By TRAM

The MARQ-Castillo and La Sangueta stops, on the lines running from Luceros towards El Campello and Benidorm, are a few minutes' walk from the office. This is the easiest approach if you are staying in Benidorm or along the northern coast.

By train or long-distance coach

Renfe's Alicante Terminal station is around 2.5 km away and the coach station slightly less. Both are a short taxi ride, or a half-hour walk along the seafront.

By car and parking

The office sits on the northern edge of the centre, heading towards Albufereta beach, so you avoid old-town traffic. There is paid short-stay parking around the port if you arrive early to drop the car off.
